FAFU was born in 2016, when a need for better access to education for disadvantaged youths in Uganda was coupled with a group of individuals who were interested in supporting them. Starting out by supporting just a handful of students, sponsored in Primary Schools, FAFU has grown to support over 80 students in different forms of educational institutions; Primary Schools, Secondary Schools, Vocational Institutions & Universities. Our activities have adjusted over time to meet the needs and best support the communities within which we work. During the last 4 years, Uganda has suffered knock on effects of Global events and the poorest communities have been rocked by rising food prices, over run health facilities and rising school fees. These are some of the areas where we have tried to support those in crisis.

FAFU uses the simple concept of connecting willing sponsors to needy youths here in Uganda. We pride ourselves on our unique personal touch, enabling sponsors to build long-lasting relationships with the beneficiary where wanted. These relationships not only encourage the students to work harder, as they know someone somewhere is rooting for them, but they also make the experience more enjoyable for the sponsor. We have found it a WIN-WIN situation!
